oday, Apple announced that iOS 6 is to be released on September 19th 2012 . They also shared a final, Gold Master, version of iOS 6 to developers shortly after that announced. This is that GM copy for the iPhone 4S. For those who are unfamiliar, a Gold Master is the same version that will be released to the public.
Simply download the file and navigate to your iPhone 4S in iTunes. Hold the Option (on a Mac) or Shift (on Windows) key on your keyboard and click "Check for Update" (or Restore, if you wish to Restore your phone while installing iOS 6). In a few minutes you will have a freshly update iPhone 4S with iOS 6.
